A/C went out in my 2003 Subaru Forester?

As I was driving yesterday, with the a/c on full blast, I began to smell something (like when a hairdryer has been on for too long) and about 20 minutes later, my a/c stopped blowing. When I turn the fan on, there is no sounds (click to anything). Could my blower motor have failed? Could a fuse be out? I really have no idea what could've happened.
