My outdoor air conditioning unit is not running. What is the problem?

The click you hear is the contactor pulling in which is powered by the low voltage control from your thermostat. So that part is working. If you have no line voltage power from the panel then it will not run. Check your disconnect box near the unit to see if it is off and check your breaker panel for a 220 volt breaker that may be tripped or off.
