2001 cavalier replaced AC/Heater Blower Motor. The new blower works but does not blow air out vents?

New blower motor had connector end but wires coming from car did not. Wires from car were red and brown so I connected the red to the red on the motor and the brown to the black on the motor. Any chance the motor could be spinning in reverse? If not what might the problem be
